Greetings, What a beautiful website. I loved the Q&A section and felt like I was right back there in time. Grandmother Quiet Storm is very informative and her description of life long ago was tantalizing and inviting to rid oneself of today's ways! The Celts also managed their families in the same manner with the children being raised by members of the clan. Interesting......Thank you for a great trip to the simpler times.......

Hi there, Really enjoyed your site, very informative as to your nation. My ancestors, the Greens/Moons and Bowden/Bourdens are associated with the southside of VA: Jamestown and (Isle of Wright) dating from the early 1600's so it was interesting reading to me.

Hi my ancestors settled in MD with the Lord Baltimore outfit, I am sad to say that they must have badly used your ancestors... Now I am beginning to make amends by going on an ancestor pilgrimage to the sacred sites of Orange County, CA with my Tongva friends.

My great great grandmother was full blooded Cherokee. I want to join a tribe but I can't trace no documents stating that she was. Her last name was Waters and she lived about 10 miles from New Echota. Is there a tribe that I can join? Also I loved your website!

Ihave no web site i'am borrowing this computer ,while i baby sit . you have a great web site except people keep advertising travels and stuff when i tried to get to this location to sign this book .i think the Us government needs to stop breaking treaty;s you would think in over a hundred years plus they would learn to stick to what they agree to in their treaty's it seems the only ones they break are with the native american's why?because they continue to need more land for stuff they really dont need .I mean give a break this country did fine for million's of years with out changing things all the time,we all need to get back in touch with the land and creatures that roam it rather if those creatures have fur or not,god gave this country it's beauty you can't improve on it.so let it be,thank's sorry get long winded at times.

Are there any good looking Native men in the Annapolis area with long black hair? Where are you?

Sara Beth Kennedy (lunacat76@hotmail.com), 11/09/01 01:07:22 PM

It has taken me a long time to figure out our native roots. No one would admit that we had native blood, but I have done some research, and based on our features and where we came from, we must be related to your tribe. My great-grandmother is from Assawoman. She had beautiful long black hair, dark eyes, and non European features. Her name was Carrie Chesser. It was very important that I found this information because my grandfather (her son) is dying of cancer, and I wanted to solve the puzzle. He looks just like her, and a lot like the people in you photos. I will send some photos if you would like. Some of your family still farms up there. They grow sweet potatos. We live in Vero Beach, FL, and grow citrus. If you have any Information on my family, if you have heard of us, let me know. I'm just so glad things came together, and would like to participate with the tribe. Best Wishes, Sara Beth
